Project 1: Defining & Documenting a Project

In a group of five-six (5-6) members, my task is to identify an actual project managed by an Architect as the lead consultant. The project must emphasize on COST, QUALITY or TIME, with a measurable ‘success criteria’. The group is required to study the objectives and goals of the selected project, job scopes and responsibilities of the Architect as the lead consultant and the project team members involved, preparation of project schedules, contract procurement method and implementation strategies of the project.

The information can be obtained by conducting visitation to the respective organizations, distributing questionnaires or interviews with the relevant parties that are directly and indirectly involved in the project. We must utilize the hours allocated for the module to organize their activities. In addition, we will be assessed via their performance each week based on their plans and schedules that is to be submitted on the 1st week of this assignment.

Project 2: Final Project Management Report

My task is to document your own Design Studio Project from the point of view of an Architect, commissioned to undertake this project.

Document (Written report, annotated visual images) will be in 5 main Components in total:
1. Introduction of Project
2. Design Analysis, picking up issues of Design Suitability and Project Viability and specifically related to your design.
3. Project Procurement and Resource Planning
4. Risk Analysis and Management (to achieve the identified success criteria and project deliverables).
5. Success Criteria, WBS, Gantt Chart
6. We are required to perform their own research and study on the mentioned components.
