Project 1: Time-line & Diagram Analysis
The greatest architectural transformation followed Merdeka, or Independence in 1957. Kuala Lumpur and other parts of Malaysia was transformed from colonial towns into parts of the new nation and Kuala Lumpur became its capital. Proud symbols of nationhood were expressed in new and daring forms. Innovative construction techniques and industrialized components changed the scale of commercial buildings and enabled the erection of the first prominent buildings and skyscrapers that shaped the nations modern architectural scene.
This research project adopts document analysis methodology that involves documenting, analyzing, producing, and a critical chronological and diagrammatical interpretation of Modern Malaysian architectural history. This project emphasizes critical analysis of the post Merdeka/Independence of Malaysian architecture in the effort to understand the influences of post-modernism to architectural design and construction, building science and technology, and urban design. The project is to distinguish the way in which many diverse factors contribute to the development of Modern Malaysian architecture.

As a major group consist of 3 minor groups, each groups are assigned to 2 buildings to be analyzed. Our final outcome is a continuous timeline analysis fold-able booklet, consists of 6 buildings compiled from each minor groups. In a minor group of 6 person, my group were assigned to the 2 buildings, which were Stadium Merdeka & Parliament Building in Kuala Lumpur.

Project 2: Report on a Modern Architecture Building in Klang Valley
The Klang Valley is a rich source of architectural heritage dating from pre-colonial, colonial, post-independence until present times. The historical richness creates a vibrant architectural fabric. Modern architecture emerged rapidly from the 1950's to the 1970's in tandem with the economic growth. However, many historical modernistic buildings are facing the risk of being demolished to make way for more contemporary buildings. Thus, by recording, documenting and analyzing the buildings, we can contribute to preserve the historical evidence of the valuable Modern Architecture Klang Valley.

In the previous minor group of 6, we are given multiple choices of building to choose from the Modern Architecture in Klang Valley. My group has chosen the same building to analyze from our previous assignment, which was Stadium Merdeka. This assignment is marked by a group component and individual components. We were required to document findings of our analysis into an academic report. The content must include:-

1. Introduction (Group Component)
2. Site Context Analysis (Individual Component)
3. Architecture Layout of the building (Individual Component)
4. Architectural Style analysis (Individual Component)
5. Building Construction Analysis (Individual Component)
6. Architecture Elements & Components (Individual Component)
7. Conclusion (Group Component)

We are to distribute the findings equally among all members, to ensure each of us has similar emphasis for individual assessment.
